Post by him121 »

hi..
all...

we have Win 2000 server with 4GB RAM, 400 GB HDD...
its kind of High End Server installed with Ascential DataStage 7.1r1

we have some problems..........like

server speed is getting reduced after 4-5 hours of work.
we are 20 client connecting to server and working on that..

i want to know whether it is because....of CACHE or RAM is getting loaded
full with HASH files and not able to flush the occupied memory..

here my network,OS and CLIENT machine every thing is in proper sink..

thanx in advance..

Hi,
I think you should start with analizing the machine state when you have this problem.
check for memory usage, processes that are running and so on.
I think you'll find the problem after this check (might need an admin's help).
by the way do you by any chance have an anti-virus installed on this machine? (if so it is probably the cause)
(I hope no server side trace is on)
IHTH,
