Instead, we put another SEQUENCER that triggers a common Routine for aborting jobs when ANY of the child sequences fail.I tried using the Exception Handler but it behaves exactly as when 'Automatic handle activities that fail' is checked.
Btw, the routine in the Master Sequence sort of sets performance metrics that is based on records processed so its return value is really non-zero most of the time.
