Can any one tell me how to view Datastage Generated Code ?

Post questions here relative to DataStage Server Edition for such areas as Server job design, DS Basic, Routines, Job Sequences, etc.

No.

The only server job generated code that it is possible to view with text viewers is that generated by compiling Transformer stages. This has been discussed many times on this Forum; search for RT_BP.

Code generated by compiling a job sequence is viewable on the Job Properties page.

Other than that, what is generated by DataStage is object based and not viewable without intensive knowledge of the internal structures in the DataStage Repository. This knowledge is deliberately not published by Ascential and is not in the public domain.

But why do you want to view DataStage-generated code? :?:

It will do you no good to hack it, as you don't know how to compile it. If you re-compile the DataStage job, the code gets re-written and your hacks are lost. :twisted:
