Multi user

How the ascential behaves when multi users are working on ascential project and modifing components. If user1 modifies a component and click on save, does that overwrite the other used work.

As far as I know, two developers cannot have the same job or routine open at the same time.

The DataStage Repository is a database in its own right, and uses row-level locking to ensure that two developers cannot simultaneously open the same object. Indeed, you can not even open a job design if that job is being monitored (protection against the chance that any design change might invalidate the monitoring of active stages).
