Understanding the results of Match Specification

Post by sigma »

My pass statistics looks like

A records read: 31319
* Blocks processed: 6944
* Overflow blocks: 0
* Maximum A block size (including overflow): 1510
* Average A block size (not including overflow): 4.51
* Pseudo matches: 2615
* Duplicates: 8637
* EXACT duplicates: 3390
* Clerical duplicates: 0
* A residuals (including MISSING): 22682

Questions

What is the difference between Duplicates and EXACT Duplicates.?
And what are Pseudo matches

When I run this through unduplicate I get 20067 residual records written to a file.

But the above figure of residuals indicate 22682 which is 20067+ 2615

So I am really confused by what is a Psuedo match

In my unduplicate job I get 2615 records as output on the master link

So does that mean pseudo matches and master record copy are the same thing

Just want clarification on the definition

I am trying to run through data using quality stage stages in version 8.0.1 on unix platform (AIX version 5.3)
