DS Jobs Long Running Issue

Hi,

We have upgraded our DataStage from 751 to 753 and also upgraded our oracle to 9i to 10g.

The issue is few of our jobs are running for long time,fo example job name abc which used to run for 1 min in older version is now currently running for more than 2-3 hours and gets hanged.The job uses simple Upsert Logic(Insert , if exists Update)

Note:Please be informed that there is no deisgn or logic change at the job level

After analyzing the table in 10g, we have found that when the DS job is trying to update the table, four processes are simultaneuosly trying to process the table, fighting with each other and creating the LOCK and DB(10g)

Can any one please let know, why the DS job is creating four processes to update a single table.
