Matching concepts

I am new to QualityStage and just playing around with the concepts of blocking & matching.

I have 2 files with columns EMPID,EMPNAME,EMPCITY:

File A :

1,John,Atlanta
..
..

File B :

1,JohnM,Atlanta
..
..

Now,I have EMPID as Blocking field and EMPNAME,EMPCITY as Matching fields.
Also, matching cutoff = 0,Clerical cutoff = 0.

But I don't get any matched output (though I have defined a matched extract file).
But should it not calculate any composite weight for the 2 matching fields (as EMPCITY matches & EMPNAME closer).The .RPT doesn't show any composite weight.

What match comparison are you using? Char, I suspect. Trying using Uncert with param 1 set to 800.

Also, how many records are you matching? With small number of records match scores tend to be lower because of low frequency values.
