data directory of the project directory

The data flat file that you use as the raw input to Ascential
QualityStage must be placed in the Data directory of the project
directory you have just created. This is what says in the manual but where is that data directory of the project directory found and from there how do we take it to quality stage to work on that flat file...

check your run profile. There you mention the place where you want your data files to go.

Remember that the path given against data files in run profile is relative and gets added to the project path (as in the run profile) to form the absolute path of data files.

Go to QS designer to populate all necessary info. in your Run Profiles, then click the Test Connection button to see whether your QS has established a connection to the server successfully.

open the QS designer and enter the server name passwords, etc etc. I dont have QS installed with me so i cant baby sit you on that as of now.

Read the manual available with the installation. It will tell you how to do it.

When you first deploy a job, the structure of the project will be created, provided that your run profile specifies the location of your master project directory (the parent directory on the server of project directories).
