ERROR: Unable to open file: C:/Projects/NEWGS/Data/GS000000

Error while running
Re: Error while running
Er, could be a large number of things, depending on what you have or haven't done.
Is QS installed properly?
Are the designer options set correctly?
Is the Run Profile set correctly?
(I doubt it is any of those, but just checking...)
Did you Deploy the job first?
Did you put a copy of the file in the Data directory? (which looks to be the immediate problem)
Does the file have the right name? (Note, QS does not expect any file extensions, so GS000000, not GS000000.txt)
Is the job properly defined?
...etc...
Cheers,
Jamas
PS. This might read as asking too simple questions, but it can easily be the simple things that make something not work. I always create an Investigation Stage when I introduce a new file just to make sure I've defined the file properly and QS can access it properly.

Hi
Thank You!!
I ran the job successfully.
Now i tried conditioning...
In standardize stage process,
In "QualityStage Standardize Stage Wizard"..i gave all detials and selected
GS000000 in data file option and selected GS020000 in Results file option...as instructed in the Getting Started guide....then it says to click next and it should pop up "QualityStage Standardize Wizard - Command Definition"....but its not doing so...I'm getting a pop up message stating
"Datafile should be in the 'Default' code page....If click OK...it says ..
"Results file should be in the 'Default' code page
Why this message pops up!!!
Should I create GS020000 file before this process...
Please suggestions!!!!!
Thank You

You need to load the input file into data directory before you start running QS job, all data source files should be in your data directory and this data directory is created when you first create a project. Let me know if you still get error after doing this,
Bye,

I recall that the manual isn't perfect and has some errors in it. The Datafile definition dialog box, for example, isn't the one in the manual. If you tried to make Code Page what it is in the manual, that will probably cause your errors.c341 wrote: "Datafile should be in the 'Default' code page....If click OK...it says ..

If this is true, try going to your Datafile definitions area, right click on the file names, and select Modify.
Then make sure Code Page is set to Default.
(There are other options there, but I have never used anything other than default.)
Then try again.
