Thanks for your suggestion !!! Some how, we might have run the install of products out of sequence. IA was installed before DS server and that might have caused the problem. We are going to re-install IA to see if that would rectify the problem. Will update with the result later ... Thanks. c.

IA - ANALYZERPROJECT didnot get created during install

Post 8.1 install, we were not able to see the ANALYZERPROJECT created.
And we tried to do the IA - Analysis Database - Analysis ODBC DSN - Validate Engine Connection, we got error per Error executing DS Job.

Have you encountered the similar issue ?
Any suggestion to rectify the issue ?

Surrogate Key Generator - produced sequence num with a gap

Kind of wonder if you had experienced the similar issue - Surrogate Key Generator produced sequence number with a gap. Backgrouund info: =========== (1) the state file is deleted and created every time before the job is run (2) expect the Surrogate key number start from 1 and increment by 1 (3) Job ...

Size/Capacity of a DataStage EE on Window platform

If you are running DataStage EE (7.5x2)on Window platform, would you mind to share information about the Size/Capacity of your production DataStage EE Server ? Verify to un-check the run time column propagation in the job that created the lookup file set; also in the job that performed the lookup.

This would help ...

Hi there, Just came to this discussion and would like to re-confirm below: 1. Change the Execution mode of Multiload stage to Sequential mode. Is this true or in other words, Sequential mode is the only execution mode when using Teradata MultiLoad stage in EE ? If wish to execute in Parallel mode, t...

Yes, you are correct about the target column needing to be a NON-null value. My question is more about Null handling for a DATE type column. Attempted to use Null handling around the input column, but for example: NullToEmpty ==> compile time error NullToValue( InDate, '1900-01-01' ) ==> No good eit...

Hi Ray, Yes, the input column was qualified with the link name. The example was just a short-hand typing to illustrate the issue. IF IsNull( SrcInputData.LAST_SNAP_DT ) Then SetNull() Else SrcInputData.LAST_SNAP_DT Is this what you meant ? This transformation works for DataSet except Sequential file...

DataStage EE 7.5x2 Server OS: Window 2003 For Null Handling, how are you tackling DATE ? When the Input and Output column is delcared as DATE type, is having trouble to use the available NULL Handling function on dealing with Null date column from input and mapping to an output column. The input dat...

Jim, Let's see if this would help you a bit further ... In the example, the value setting to the "matched" strings (CntryGroup1/ULTGroup1 ...) can be retrieved from a table or like kind ... rather than updating here in this routine on continuous basis; since we know the sale Org/Terriority...

Under sdk, there are 2 key mgmt routines. The one for concurrent env. is built to support multiple access via read locking and write unlocking. In simple sense, when 2 jobs are going for the same "key" via the concurrent routine, one will get the next value and the other one will get the n...
