Thanks, yes we were informed of this however the time we've spent with the back and forth with support without any clear resolutions, we've decided to step back and go with the most recent version of 11.3.x.x.

Anyone running 11.5 DS & IGC without issues?

Looking to upgrade from 9.1 to 11.5 DataStage, I was wondering if anyone is running just fine, especially in production, 11.5. If so are you using IGC as well? Long story short, working for 8 weeks now on a PMR as we implemented a 3 server tier topology (Linux VM servers, Oracle repository) which is...

Using NullToValue() at a job level

If i have a job like database --> transform --> database, instead of doing a NullToValue() on almost every column in the transform, is there a way to do this at the job level so that every null value in any column will be converted to a non-null value of my choice?

Thanks

One of the difficulties in this is it's not consistent. You could delete the duplicates that got inserted and then rerun the ETL job and the job would detect that the record existed and just update. Anyway we removed the APY_OLD_BOUNDED_LENGTH from the environment variable section and did NOT experi...

Add 100 gigs of scratch space and added the environment variable APT_OLD_BOUNDED_LENGTH but it's set to False in the environment.

SCD stage not detecting a record already exists

Running version 9x on linux starting last week a random occurence of jobs using SCD stage do not appear to be partitoning the data correctly. Some input records are not being detected as already present and the stage is determining it to be a new record and inserting it into the target dimension tab...

XML Parsing using XML Stage

If I have the below XML that I need to parse and bring data up to the PONUMBER am I correct in saying that to do this using the XML Stage I have to have 2 separate links coming out of the stage where the one link would extract the <ReferenceInfo> data and the other link would extract the <MilestoneI...

Yeah it doesn't really seen to be a problem on the DataStage end. However, our BW guy is saying that sometimes it seems that SAP is not greeting a return message from DataStage to signal that's it's complete. I'm not sure if this is a DS issue or sap. He says it's not always the case but every succe...

Worked!!! Thanks Ernie. I did try the HJoin earlier but instead of just the one regroup I had one for each input link. Not sure if that was the issue or maybe something in my mapping in the composer step but I was getting the error [b]"XML_DEAL_OUTPUT,0: Message bundle error Can't find resource...

Yes the redbook has been very helpful when I jsut had the one list <style> however, little more challenging with a second list that I can't seem to get. I did a regroup for the <style> level data I did another regroup for the <tier> level data Then I added an OrderJoin I thought I had it as the XML ...

Hey Ernie, Yeah it makes sense what you are saying the <style> and the <tier> really belong to the promotion itself so I can separate those two and have a separate link coming out of the XML stage for each. For any transformations I only have to do that for the <style> data and the <tier> data I jus...
