are you using a transformer stage before you see the value '*******' in the target stage?
If yes then is there any implicit type conversion being done for that field?

hi, It depends upon your business logic as what to default the NULLS to in decimals and date fields. We had faced a similar problem and had asked the business to define the defaults incase NULLS were encountered. Just similar thing happened with me,
and I found out that it was a problem with the server system date that had been changed.
Once it was reverted to the correct date, Things worked fine.

The problem in this case is the NLS map defined in the stage property is taking the project default value.
