Hi,

You can overwrite your NLS settings in a import or export stage.
check the NLS box of your stage.

To change the charset, the strings must have Nchar,Nvarchar or char[unicode] types! Otherwise, data will be trated as bytes, and not translated!

There are actually two operators :

the funnel and the sort Merge (as you run the funnel in sequential mode).

Thaty is the reason of the "bug"

1- Yes, hash and partition is a good practice. modulus is also useful if the key is an entire.

2- Try the 2 solutions. If your database is powerful and your indexes well set , you can make your SQL query.

Well, the upsert is useful.but you have only one insert.

Other solution : load your rows in a staging table in DB2, with a code defining the query (ex: 1 for the update, 2 for insert 1).

Then launch a SQL script to make your different queries

Generic lookup with Datastage 7.5

Hi everybody, My team is developping generic jobs with RCP. A fist version is 7.0. Migration to 7.5 is coming soon. We have a problem with lookups in 7.5. Since there is a graphical tool to define the keys, parameters are not allowed, unlike in 7.0. Do you have a solution, or do i have to define the...

In France, IBM/Ascential consultants attack in their best practice,

but experience shows that it is not justified.

this founction exist in a modify stage. In the modify, the 2nd parameter must be a constant, not in the transformer.

In the transformer, if the 2nd paramter is not a constant, performance is very poor!

To my mind, this is not a network problem, but a ressource problem. Did you control that there is enough space in your swap?

production manager can import in protected projects.

Operator can only see released jobs, useless if you are using protected projects.
