Hi
ANy idea how do we set up alert mechanisms using DS Logs. I want to put an alert set up if i see a particular message in the Log and send out an email?

how to enable TRACING on parallel/server jobs individually?
HI.
I am interested in enhancing the tracability of the job. How do i do it. i know we can do it for the whole server in the admin, but how do we do it for single DS job or a Sequence.

you can try to clear the status file after u send the abort.. if u try to stop from director many times and there is a network or a DB conn problem at the same time, then it might happen that the command for stop does not alert any o/p signal. XML CRLF error
Hi
when i am trying to load a simple file into a xml and try to view the file in a visual studio, i run into the following error:
the data is CRLF erroired and looks like
<Tag>
Data
instead of </Tag>Data<Tag/>
Any idea of how to rectify this on PX?

i need it in the same format as input it is like 13/09/2007 11:00:00 AM the input is from an xml and i tried even getting it from sequential file but both SQL types are varchar. i need the o/p on SQL SERVER also in the same format but as a DATETIME sql type. pls help I tried doing to_date it is not ...

I had similar problems when i imported routines from a diff prj. all i did was to knock off the .dsx file and reimport routines compile them and then try it out. for safe side please make sure that all the protocols of the code are followed!

Hi, I am trying to import metadata frm schema but am not able to see the synonyms created in the schema from the other schema.. say for example i have 2 schemas a,b i have created a public synonym in 'a' for a table of 'b'..tried to import the same table def from 'a'(which i have access to in DS)......
