I did the install and it seems fine I did not change the instance tag since it is on a separate machine.
Thanks.

Multiple engine installation
Hi there, I want to install another instance of the DataStage engine on another server so that Information Anaylyzer has it's own place to run analysis jobs. Is there anything configuration wise that I will need to consider when doing this. I see at the end of the installation it asks you to specify...

Classic Federation setup
Hi there I will be traveling to a vendor site in August for a POC on the classic federation server product.
Has anyone in the forum used this stage before?
Are there any requirements (libraries etc that need to be added to the dsenv file) to use this stage?
Thanks.

I use partitioned indexes as a primary key on my paritioned tables. Unfortunately, DataStage will attempt to reubild the whole index instead of just the partitioned index. I noticed as my tables got larger the more time the job would take to run. The only way to handle this is to load a temporary ta...

A question about SANs
On my production environment we have 2 servers. The primary one is hooked up to a SAN has space presented to it. On my secondary node I do not have access to this SAN. If I run a job with the 2 nodes where I am writing to this SAN resource, will my job fail? What would be the best way to handle this...

index function
I know in other non-datastage functions, if you want to search backwards you would specify a negative number. Is this possible with this function?
TIA

retrun value from Execute command to shell
I have a shell script that calls dsjob to execute a sequence job that has an execute command stage in it. The execute command stage runs another script that returns me a temporary table name. Is there any way to return this table name back to the calling shell script?
Hope that's clear.
