For a normal run you can specify to have your error tables drop, this is in the script portion-Before-of the Teradata stage. The work files are created when you have a abend, which someone must address. In my office since we are paged to address abends, we manually delete the error and work tables a...

DataStage 7.5.2 Writing to XML file
Would anyone know if DS can write to an XML file and if so what stage was used in doing this. I have a to provide this information for a design meeting coming up later today 9/29 (1:00 EST). My take away was to see if this can be done with DS or not.
Thanks in advance

DataStage 7.5.2
I had heard that there could be some loss in DataStage functionality when sites upgraded to DS 7.5.2. My site is running on AIX with a Teradata Database. Has anyone heard of or experience any problems with this next version. Also is 7.5.2 a SP or an upgrade??
Thanks,
Thanks,

I'm not sure if I fully understand your question, using multiple look-ups against one Dataset. I have used multiple look-ups for the same dataset using the Copy Stage. Each lookup is performed by using its own unique set of fields. This will enable you to capture your rejections and will centralize ...

Import Error
When extracting from a sequential text file, I am receiving the following warning message for one field. The field is has a date value but is defined Integer(7) and Null ='Y'. In the transform I added logic to handle zero value by setting the date to our default value of 9999-12-31. This is the logi...

I resolved this issue, the problem was due to the way the Source fields are definded in the COBOL copybook, where I am sources from using IBM's IICF product. I Converted the S999v99 fields in DS to be Double(5) and any S9(6), were converted to Integer. I am writing to a Sequential file so no Transfo...

"null_field" length (0) Warning Messages
I have been getting the following warning message: When validating export schema: At field "CNT_RCDS": "null_field" length (0) must match field's fixed width (11) [impexp/group_comp.C:4225] I did put the following in for each field but the warning is still being generated any tho...

I found the setting under the Tool drop down menu as Roy indicated, the default setting was 60000. I decided to keep this default setting to not impact performance. If PS shows a 100% for the Uniqueness Indicator that is alright by me. Now that I know of this setting I feel confident that the result...

I have a quick ProfileStage question concerning Cardinality count. Is there a limit on the number of rows displayed for this field? I did a Column Analysis on a Master file of 532,037 rows; the key field is Item Code, which is unique on the mainframe. The Analysis Result report shows for Cardinality...
