Version 8 Admin Class

Has anyone heard when IBM plans on making the Administrator class for Version 8 available.

Their training schedule only list the Vers 7.5 admin class. I thought this class would have been available by now..oops I almost forgot this is IBM's product now.

I have version 8 upgrade on my project plan for the summer, we tried to export and do a dsx compare using utra-edit's compare option, but it listed every timestamp differences it found, a real mess. Knowing that it is available in version 8 will make my darkside dev...

For example compare the Datastage job in production against same job in Test and have any code differences list out, as they were able to do in the darkside. :ro...

ERROR - it takes less time to do things right than it does to explain why you did it wrong.

If you read a persistent dataset using SAME partitioning, the
downstream stage runs with the degree of parallelism used
to create the dataset, regardless of the current
$APT_CONFIG_FILE / specified node pool.

I hope this help

Version EE 7.5.2 I'm trying to load through web services a xml page into 1 field defined as a varchar. This only works when the rec read limit is set to 400 records, anything greater fails-'field size too small', longvarchar fails as well. The source field and target field attributes that you displayed are correct, most times TD will generate this error if the value of the field is not numeric, NULL or some other bogus data value.

Put some NUlltoZero or Space handling logic in the Transform for these fields.
