Hi All, I am trying to install IS 8.1 on a solaris box which does not have the ports such as 9080 open. (netstat -n |grep 9080 - returned nothing) I think there isn't any firewall installed on the unix m/c and the client m/c does not have any issues in talking to unix m/c. So do I still have to manu...

Thanks nagarjuna for your reply. The query which we are running is very simple - select col1, col2,col3, col4, col5, col6 from tablea where rownum < 5000000. I assume with one node file the type of partition wont matter. Use of two node (LOGICAL) file definitely improved the performance. But How do ...

did not exactly get your qusn
Resource disk is the place where you will see the Segment files (child files) of the datasets your job has generated.
Where as the Descriptor file (.ds file) will sit in the location(PATH) which you give in the filename.
Is there anything else you want to know??
Thanks
Sumeet

Hi,
this makes it an inner join on the ref.Sample=input.sample:
If you dont put this constraint it will be left outer join. WHich means that you should be getting matching and non matching recs from the INPUT
Thanks
Sumeet
