Thanks Ray.

The Unix admin is still skeptical about the Root access.

Are there any Privileges or rights (a subset of root privileges) that can be granted to dsadm for the Upgrade to go thru?

Upgrade from 7.5.1 to 7.5.2

Hi ! We are planning to upgrade from 7.5.1 to 7.5.2 and for this I am stuck at the point of asking for Privileges from Unix administrator. Do I need to request for Password for the Root account? Or Should I ask for Root privileges to be granted to dsadm user so that I can do my upgrade. Is there any...

Upgrade from 7.5.1 to 7.5.2

Hi ! We are planning to migrate from 7.5.1 to 7.5.2. Is the upgrade as simple as having a CD mounted and running the install script. (Installer detects earlier version of Datastage and prompts for upgrade) ? Can the clients still use the same Datastage client that came along with 7.5.1 to connect to...

Can you quickly check if the Project Directories exist and the permissions on those directories are set up correctly.

Also check if the dstage group has been modified in the recent past.

Hi !

Can you point me towards a guide for all available Universe Commands.

I have searched the available documentation that comes along with the client install, but couldnt find anything relevant.
