I have a quick question regarding the actual error log written when a job encounters a truncation message. I have a job that is writing from a hash file to an ODBC stage/SQL database. Usually in the past I have seen the data listed in the director log that is truly the error that caused the truncati...

DS Project Naming

I just have a quick question that I cannot seem to find any information on. Are there any limitations (documented or found through trial and error) to the naming convention of DS projects? I know that Admin won't let you enter certain characters in a name (or spaces) but are there any other problems...

Record Lock in ODBC Stage for MS Access and not SQL

I have a general question...We have jobs built that currently running perfectly for an ODBC connection to a SQL server but they are receiving record lock errors for a select group for an ODBC MS Access conenction. I cannot figure out if Access just handles them differently...? Anyone know if that is...

I have been told by Ascential directly that they do not advise running a project Clean Up...Is this true in your experience?
