you can do a lookup on the second file with first file as base. not sure though if thats what you want.

There are no limitation as far as i know and if there is such a thing its not 2000 definetly.

Post an example how you feel the data is getting truncated

The SQL definition was different from the listed columns. (i copied this stage from someplace which was using a custom SQL).

Changing the options to auto-column generated SQL solved the issue

Hi when i am doing a lookup (decimal to decimal as keys) i get the following warning and no rows are returned.

<Job Name>..Transformer_37: %s

Anyone ever faced this?

the criteria should be performance. Run as many as you can without affecting others:-)

Btw, i have seen that the datastage server begins to buckle if you cross more than 16-17 jobs running simultaneously.

How about a tutorial section. :D Acsential tutorials sucks and IBM has yet to work on them. But am sure once they are through, I wud be speachless (pun intended).

convert your client installation to server and you will have this functionality.

Its just that you cant access local files on the client machine unless you FTP it to the server.

OH. You you want to pick files from your client machine. Just like you open a testpad or something?

What do you mean by a folder access? where did you see user specific folders in datastage?

Are you talking about categorizing the jobs in folders in the designer?
