Re: Dynamic parameter assignment

The way that i did this in my Job was to call the second job (Declare these two columns in this job as Job paramter) from this job and pass these values as Job Parameter to the second job.

The whole issue is that we are not direct customers of IBM/AScential . We get our licenses from Peoplesoft / Oracle as an OEM thing.

Re: file attachment in mail

I had a little different problem , the file attachment was failing because the file was locked.and hence was not able to send it. So as a work around I removed the after job subroutine and added a hashed file which sourced from the sequential file and then after that hashed file added one more trans...

Also there is a Routine in Built in Category "DSSendMailAttachmentTester" and if you use the Seqeuncer the Stage "Notification_Activity" gives you an option in it to specify the attachement that ou want to send.

Ray , Nope the constraint would not work as there can be multiple row returns as the Field3 is a important decider to select the correct one. Guru, Hard to do on DB level as the data which I am going to compare is already processed in lot of stages and writing a query on what all happened in these s...

Nope, I did not find the reason but just know that it had something to with that particular "transformaer" stage. SO I shifted my logic to the a stage previous to this one. :(

Ray , There are other key values as well which are of the equal nature. In short the complete query will be -- select * from A,B where A.FIELD1 = B.FIELD1 AND A.FIELD2 = B.FIELD2 AND A.FIELD3>B.FIELD3 and here in my functinality for each combination it will return only 1 row. Hope this is clear.
