Re: Import Orchestrate schema
Hmm. I get the same error message when using the timestamp datatype with nanoseconds on Oracle 10g. I have to convert the columns using TO_CHAR.

Barking... I listened to the money warped car and driver magazine articles and bought one of them non-US cars. It was a new Toyota Corolla. I had the car in about 7 times because Toyota could not stop the car from vibrating. Finally, after cursing at them many times, they said it was an engine probl...

Re: mmm
That portion of the error could be caused by anything from permissions, missing localization files, corruption, bad code, etc... Here is what I put at the end of my dsenv to configure Sybase. ## BEGIN SYBASE ENV export SYBASE=/msybase export SYBASE_OCS=OCS-12_5 export LIBPATH=${LIBPATH}:${SYBASE}/${...

Is this AIX? How much real memory do you have and how much paging space? Reason I ask is because IBM still recommends that you have more paging space then real memory. If not, you can run into many problems. Including, not being able to generate dumps, running out of paging space, cannot fork proces...

Re: thanks
Looking at the product compabatility matrix included with plug-in installation guide it states that Datastage is only supported with Open Client 12.5.
Note: Open Client 12.5 is fully backwards compatable with 12.0 and 11.0. I think that you should find a package for 12.5.

Re: A bulk loader for SQL Server 2000 + Future releases
This functionality used to exist pre-SQL Server 7.0 and should be maintained going forward even if the vendor changes their core. BCP still exist for SQL Server 2000 albeit for backward compatability but a loader could be built around the "bulk insert" function. I definately want some sor...

Re: really?
Hey dude. Really really... For real... I have written many books on Sybase. You need to install the Sybase APIs in order to connect to Sybase using the native Sybase stages. If you want to use ODBC. No you don't. But that would be silly being that open client is free on Linux. I believe open client ...

Eval does two things. 1. Executes the entire argument passed to it as one command. 2. Goes through command substitution again. Both are awesome. But 2 could be annoying. But because of 2, you can now use a shell variable in your parameter file if you want. Example: STUFF=${PARM} STUFF will take on t...
