It also violates NATO, KAOS and BATMAN. Look, access to DataStage and DataStage login is very secure - in fact you can just use the LDAP or operating system security and that makes the server secure. ... Datastage itself might be secure, but it gives out easy access to the systems it accesses. Unle...

I hope you are the person who keeps adding to Wikipedia because this is a far more appro...

How to integrate 2 data marts
The Monte Carlo method should work well (especially for steep slopes) to establish several random points that you can use to sum the parts.

No, I have checked that ps -ef will NOT see the job's password. Yeah, I think you're right. I am remembering that for some of the stages the passwords are exposed at the command line in datastage by doing a ps -ef | grep echo because it passes the passwords to "/usr/bin/ksh -c<variable>" ...

From what I understand, this user is required to run a KSH script. This KSH script does a variety of things including a DB2 connection. The user want to know how to prevent the DB2 call from exposing the password. The solution is to shift the connection script into the DB2 command file (db2 -f[file...

So, why not just create a job using the DB2 stage, with an encrypted password parameter, to connect to your DB2 database and does whatever the script is trying to accomplish on the database. ps -ef will still display this as it is being passed to the job. That is, until parameters are shifted by ds...

Re: Job Parameters

Why would this fail as it is getting the values for all required 16 params from the Param_Script? Because dsjob was coded that way. dsjob is not smart enough to ignore parameters which are specified that do not exist in the job. If you want to do this, you must write your own code to parse the para...
