You can import metadata from the ODBC, but the best option is to use Orchestrate Schema Definitions.

Importing Table Definitions:
Can import using ODBC or using Orchestrate schema definitions
- Orchestrate schema imports are better because the data types are more accurate

Hi Craig Hulett

I have a job that makes a lookup in the hash before creating it. The hash is created in this job, then I needed to execute the command mkdbfile. I didn't get to configure in the GUI. Can you explain better as configuring?

Thank you

To create a hash in a specific directory, execute the command: mkdbfile path/HashFileName 30 1 4 20 50 80 1628 or create a routine: Call DSExecute("UNIX","ls ":PathHsh:"HashName", Output, SystemReturnCode) If SystemReturnCode <> 0 Then commandUV = "mkdbfile ":...

Access ODBC to database Postgres

It is possible to configure the odbc.ini file to access the database postgres through DataStage 7.5?
Do I have to install some driver or DataStage already possesses the driver?

Any suggestions would appreciated

Thanking you all in advance

You are correct. The plug-in of QS for DS doesn't allow two input files. Workaround: If your server DataStage and QualityStage goes the same, make a job DS generating the files in the directory "Data" of the project, and in this same job, create a routine that executes the job QS through c...

I will add new fields in blocking phase and to execute the job again.

I believe that is quite so. In the documentation of QualityStage (userGuide), it recommends that the blocks have approximately 10 to 20 records per file and that it should not exceed 100 records.

Thank you.

I have a job in the version 4.2 that records the date of the system at format YYYY-MM-DD in the bank Oracle. I used the function Oconv to define the format.
