I've a doubt in defining the Array size and transaction size

Suppose if i take array size is 1000 is there any mathematical calculation to define the transaction size or is it optional to choose?

Provided you only want inner or left outer joins, then you can use the conventional lookup mechanism in DataStage, using a Transformer stage. How can we join the tables from diperate source databases

Hi all,

Till now we have developed server jobs in which we used DRS Stages as the source stage, Is there any method to join the tables which are taking from diffrent source databases. if so what is the method.

Can any body tell this pls.

How to run a job in multiple instances

Hi,

i have a question that is it possible to run a single job in multiple instances , i mean is it possible to run a job in a multithreading way, as of i know if we open same job repeatedly it displays some message like ' Job is using some other person' .

So can u any body clarify this.

Be sure when you log into DataStage Manager that you DO NOT check the Omit button. Thanks to both Ray and smith, when i was tried to import the jobs without any username and pwd the error occured, after giving the authorized user name and pwd the jobs imported smoothly. Thnks a lot once again. Regds

Unlocking Job

Hi friends,

Some times the serverjobs are getting locked. Can u anybody tell me how to unlock/release the jobs, to do this any admin preveliges required or any user can do. Please clarify.

Is Joiner Transformation in informatica and Hash file in Datastage can perform the same functionality.And also i have one doubt that hash file will use Hashed algorithem for getting data from the source data.if it is correct can any body explain the fucntionality of the hashed algorithm.
