DataStage and IDMS

I read some archives and it told me that you need to create a third party software to read IDMS. Is this the same for the Parallel Extender edition. Is there a plug-in for it? Thanks in advance

WebSphere MQ

I am trying to read from a queue and get the following error. Do I need a specific plug-in on my client. I installed the Message Adapter PACK but I think it needs something else.

WebSphere_MQ_0: Unable to load plug-in in call to ORPHLoadPlugin()

Thanks in advance

Performance Statistics Missing

I have been reading posts about this and most are related to a Unix version of EE. Is there a different fix for Windoes version. I am running the Server and Client on a standalone box. How do I get the Jobmon to work?

Thanks in advance

Yes, they told me it was because we are not running on a Windows 2003 OS. I posted another question about this and I was told that this version works fine in a Windows 2000 SP4 OS. I am not sure what to think anymore.

The Client and Server are on the same machine. I have used Designer, Manager and Director on the same project with no problems. It's only when I try to open the properties in Admin.

When I installed DS EE 7.5.X2, it asked me to create a project. There is only one. I tried to create a project and the same thing happened.

DataStage Administrator Timeout

when I open up the DS administrator and select a project, as soon as I click on properties, my system hangs and my CPU stays consistantly at 100%. The API slave processes must be shutdown to get my system back to normal.

Anyone have a solution for this.

Thanks

Yes, I have SP4 installed. I talked to technical support and this is the answer I got. The problem that really disturbs me is we were never asked the right questions during the purchase. We aren't going to W2003 in the near future and are standard won't let us go to Unix. If others are using W2000 a...

DataStage EE 7.5x2

I just installed the EE version on a Windows 2000 OS. I was just told that the EE 7.5x2 version will only run on a Windows 2003 OS. Is this the case? I ran a few designer jobs and they worked fine. The DS administrator portion hangs and causes problem. I just need to be sure that this is the reason....

The reason I ask this question is that I heard through others that the Windows based DS is not as stable as the Unix based software. If DS works well on both OS's, then we will make the decision based on cost factors. We just want to make sure that there are no surprise down the road due to the OS.

RFI - OS Choices

Hi all, We are in the procurement process for DataStage EE and would like to know what is the optimal choice between Unix and Windows. Looking at most posts, a larger number of installations use Unix. What are some of the reasons for choosing Unix over Windows. We were headingtowards the Windows ver...
