OS Change

If the OS changes from Windows to UNIX, are there any other modifications to the jobs other than re-compiling? It looks like we may be forced to change OS's somewhere down the road. Thanks

Thank you. I finally got the MQ Stage. It was installed correctly but the Designer Repository was filtering out the module.

Where would I find the MQ Stage. Is it in the Designer module under the General Tab. If so, it is not there.

I installed it with a user id that had admin rights and I could NOT remove the software. It took the server administrator user id to remove the software.

Thanks for all input

I tried all possibilities. I even tried to delete the directory from explorer and received errors. It is really difficult to remove.

I tried to use this routine and received a permissions problem. The error told me that I do not have the proper permission to remove the software. It's very funny because I am using the same user id that I installed the software.

DataStage EE 7.5x2

I am trying to remove the DataStage EE server from our Windows server. I installed it with admin rights and now I can't remove it due to permission problems. Do I need the server Admin user id to do this? Also, does DataStage not have an uninstall routine to remove the server software.

Thanks

Additional Information:

The Microsoft Visual .net 2003 C++ compiler has not been installed. Wondering if this could be the issue. Is there an admin user id that is required other than window admin rights that is needed.

Thanks

Further Update: Everything else in DataStage works fine. I can get to all modules from either within modules or directly from the icons. I installed the client on another machine to rule out that my machine was the cause. The same problem occurs. I still haven't heard from IBM's tech's and I have ru...

Administrator Properties - Hangs System

Hi all, I have already put a call into tech support but I thought I would post the problem in case someone else has had this happen. A few months back I installed the 7.5x2 version of DataStage on a Windows 2000 OS. In the Administrator module, the system would hang when trying to open the Project P...
