Hi,
What is a better solution when we have say 4 modules each expected to have say 50-75 jobs, should we have 4 seperate projects, one for each, or one project with all 4 as categories..what would be the pros and cons.
Thanks in advance,
NV

Head & Tail Stage
Hi,
Datastage PX:
Can we use the Development/Debug stages like the peek, tail , head in Dev only or we can use them during the UAT & Production environment too.
If No, why can we not use it?

Yes, the DirectConnect or DataDirect (can't recall what they are called these days) drivers will let you read the .xls file directly using ODBC and the drivers are platform specific, so the driver on LINUX won't work on SOLARIS. Best ask the pricing and portability questions to the vendor directly....

Datadirect driver for Linux
Hi All,
Will the DataDirect driver for Linux help me in reading an Excel file directly with Datasatge installation on Linux? Any idea about the Cost involved?
Also going forward we could move to a Sun Solaris box..so in that case do we need to buy another driver or should this work fine there too

Can we read directly from an Excel file
My source file is coming from Windows Env and is in Excel format.
Can I read from it through DS on a Unix Env without having to manually convert it to a .csv file?
Pls reply ASAP.
