Netezza Connector- Temp Tables - Not Dropped Automatically
Hi, We are using Netezza Connector stage to load data to a Netezza Table using nzload. I have noticed when the job fails, since Netezza extensively uses External Tables, tables named like "NZCC_20150417154349152486_7252_1" are created bur NOT dropped even if we select the option "Temp...

Netezza Stored Procedure Return Value
Hi All, Since there is No Direct way of calling a Netezza SP from Datastage as the Stored Procedure stage does not support Netezza yet, so I am calling it from After SQL in a Netezza connector stage and it works thus far. But I want to capture the return value from the SP and based on which conditio...

64-bit Hash Files
Hi All, We migrated from v7.5 on a 32 bit Windows Server to v9.1 on a 64 bit Windows server. We use Server Jobs Only Post Migration we are having performance degradation in the newer version by almost 40% while I understand a 10% down performance can be expected due to the way Authentication works. ...

Calling Netezza Stored Procedure
Hi All, v11.3 on Windows, Paralell Jobs We need to call a Netezza Stored Proceure from within Datastage. We have the Stored Procedure Stage but I do not see Netezza under Vendor options where we have Oracle, Teradata and so on.. Other way I can think of is calling the SP from a After Job Command in ...

Netezza Connector Stage - DSN
Hi All,
The Netezza Connector stage needs the DSN, User, Password and Database Name.
When we create the DSN we are already providing the User, password and Database Name, so why do we need to specify this again in this stage
Any reason for this duplicacy?
Thanks,
NV

Hashed File - Read and Write Cache Setting
Hi All, We are on V9.1 and only using Server Jobs only and use a lot of hash Files. The Default project setting for Read and Write Cache is 128 MB. Does changing value higher, say to 256 MB, assist in improving job performance that are reading or writing to a Hashed File? Any impact of increasing th...

Comparing the uvConfig Files on both Versions, I see the following differences between the 2 versions Is it OK to change these configuration values or we need to contact IBM Support? If we do change these in 9.1, do we have to Restart Datastage for these configuration changes to take effect? v9.1 v7...

PaulVL - Yes the bottle Neck seems to be related to Data Latency. Connecting to the same Database and same Table from 7.5 takes slower than from 9.1 For test, to read and write 3.7M records from a SQL Table using ODBC stage it takes 66 Mins in 7.5 Vs 90 Mins in 9.1 . We changed the ODBC driver and t...

Hi All, The ETL Cycle is almost 40-50% slower in 9.1 vs 7.5 (No Job Design Changes) Based on the suggestions I tested for each one, 1. Check that Environment variables are the same, especially the DS environment variables that impact things like buffering. -- They are same as below v7.5 DS_USERNO=-3...
