We bounced the Information Server stack and all is well. I did not try the other alternatives but will keep this post handy for occasion when a bounce is not as feasible.
Thanks! :D

Error when performing save as
When logged into DataStage and I try to save a job to another folder and change the name I get the below error: The Folder '\Jobs\FMS_E\OWS\Base\Load_Tables\Server' is locked by user 'username' (SessionID 'E8BA9E6E-905E-48D2-AE0D-628CF2C01B90') How do I address this? Should a user be able to lock a ...

Sporatic Phantom Error
Recently I converted a hashed file from 32 bit to 64 bit. This changed was prompted by an increase in data volume. Prior to converting the file to 64 bit I confirmed that it only contained the required keys and data (2.7 GB). This file is used in a major ETL process. Since the conversion to 64 bit t...

UV Stage Lookup
I've created a universe table to store information for lookup purposes. I chose to use the universe table instead of the hashed file because my criteria for the lookup is a date range. The universe table has 5 keys, two of which are date fields. Column Type Key ----------------- ----------- --------...

It would have been nice to encase your LIST.INDEX between Code tags - in fact, why not edit your previous post to make it so? BUILD.INDEX is required if there are data in a hashed file on which an index is created. BUILD.INDEX is not required if the hashed file is empty when the index is created. T...

Below is the output for one of my UV tables. If data existed in the table before creating the index, is an index rebuild required? If so, what is the syntax? >LIST.INDEX HASH_D_JRNL_SOURCE_LKP2 ALL Alternate Key Index Summary for file HASH_D_JRNL_SOURCE_LKP2 File........... HASH_D_JRNL_SOURCE_LKP2 I...

Thanks the replys. Monitoring the process with prstat, mpstat, and sar simultaneously. No major bottlenecks in memory, or CPU utilization. In fact the cpu utilization peaked at 81% on all 4 cpus during processing. For SCD II, some of the lookups require the date range criteria. This is not accomodat...

Tuning Fact Table Process
I have a fact table loading process that is not performing to my expectation. It's taking my ETL process 33 minutes to load 170,000 Rows (3 MB) of data (approx. 85 Rows/Sec). The data is extracted and loaded into tables in the same Oracle Database (using DRS stage). This process populates data into ...
