I didn't find the session ID in iis console---->Admin---->Session Mgmt--->Active Sessions.

We have a session timeout property - 1800 secs, but this session is hanging since last 12+ Hrs

Is there any way to see the inactive/hanging sessions in Websphere.

Not able to open the job. It got locked by a user. We have tried to look for the lock every where (DS Director, Unix processess, Websphere session through console). Is there any way to look for inactive/lingering sessions in websphere console. Here is the error, Unable to open the job The Job 'myjob...

Error Code -99 , it could be a Bug. Better check with IBM support with a detailed log, they might have patch for this.

By allotting enough/more tablespace to Xmeta we have resolved this issue.

No changes to filesystem permissions

Enough disk space, and no changes to privileges.

All of the projects are working fine since long time. All of a sudden this issue poped up, no one can able to save/saveas/compile the jobs (DS8.0), its giving this error "Unable to save EditServ.impl.JobDefnImpl@12345abc". Nothing got changed at the iis admin level (user privileges etc.,)....

You can aslo refer "IBM Information Server Planning, Installation and Configuration Guide" document.

Take full backups of DS7.5.2 projects, configuration files, settings, dsenv,datasets / hashed files(if any)/flat files, and other necessary unix files/file systems which are related to projects. Better follow "Complete method" which was mentioned in "Migration to IBM Information Serve...

We have tried -O0 option in Compiler Flag of the Transformer Stage properties Build tab, but no luck. Does the Workstation memory(RAM) matters at the time of DS Job compilation.

As Ray mentioned take proper backups for DS7.x project, related unix file systems (DataSets, Hashed Files(if Server) and other files),configuration file, dsenv / DSParms. Everything is explained in doc "Migrating to IBM Information Server Version 8".

How to turn off optimization in the stage-specific compiler options for the transform stage. Will it effect the particular job or entire project.

Sure we can try TRIM(InCol,'B'). Is this macro usage of multple times a limitation to the compiler. Are there any Environment variable realted to compiler to set it. I am not sure.
