I'll try . Does DS supply map to all strange symbols ?

My data content characters that DS cn resolve and these chars replaced by "?" and I see it . But really it doesnt "?" in tranformer I tries to find it with INDEX Basic function and returned 0 .

Does anybody have clue how to remove this chars before it inserted to db ?

My reading stage read from AS400 file to and in stage Schema delimiter defined as '.' I set the same delimiter in FTP writing stage and get one row and after each field '.' as part of string . Why this ? '.' mast to dived the columns

I need to write the rows from Transformer from Server job to ftp stage and get file of AS400 that may be accessed by ODBC later.

The problem is that I send 8 colums to FTP stahe and all theese columns get as one field

I cant to use ODBC stahe to write the rows

I try to use dsexport within routine and the cmd and dsexport process hung up . I ran the command within cmd of Windows and it runs ok .

I use ExecDOS routine with some changes ? Do you know whats the problem ?

Thank you all. I did some check and really using transform and its more faster then routine. But writing any derivation on place without calling transform or routine te fastest way. ArndW : The call to transform replaces with the code after compilation ? Ray : People confuse Transform and Transforme...
