Thanks for all the inputs. I have tested vmcburney's idea but it does not help. Row Merger concatanates all the cols irrespective of key cols or output tab cols.
I will try Kenneth's Idea...
Thanks again...

concatenate selected cols into one not hardcoding cols
I want to concat some of the cols from a record into one single column. I was hoping to do this with row merger but it seems it will concat all the columns. I could not figure out a way to concat some of the cols. Basically I am trying to concat all the cols except key cols to find the CRC value for...

Don't we need Table Defs to run the DSJob ?
Guys In one of the posts here, it's mentioned that we don't need to promote Table Definitions to other environment if we are just need to run the job in that environment rather changing it. Is that true ? Doesn't DataStage look for Table Defs in the repository when it runs the job ? On the other han...

Reddy you did not provide more information about your environment like what technique you are decied to go with ClearCase(CC) as there are base ClearCase and UCM. But Generally you have to have to export things out of DataStage(DS) and Import into CC where different baselines will be made like DVL, ...

I am not a Guru. But I can tell you what I know about DataStage and CleaCase as we are planning to implement it. This is mainly depends on what kind of methodology you are going to choose in ClearCase. I am not sure if you are planning to adopt UCM(Unified Change Management) which is out of box prod...

Thanks for all the inputs. I think I misstated what I wanted to say... It's a input sequential file stage not output. I was wondering If I can read more than one file using seq file stage in a single datastage job.I don't want to use folder stage or don't want to merge the files before reading them ...

filter command truncates...is this issue ever resolved ?
Hi
I read somewhere in this forum that filter commands truncates charecters when we use pipe symbol in version 7.1.
I am using version 7.5 and am facing the same problem.
Is this issue ever resolved ? If so do we need to install any patch for this ?
Please let me know.
Thanks
