Thanks for the reply. I found the issue. There is a property called Partitioned DB Configuration in Bulk Load stage which need to set to YES as the database is partitioned. I was having NO instead. Once I changed that Named Pipe option ran fine. But the error message was irrelevent.

So you mean to say this job design won't work and when I create this file I should write to a named pipe and use the same in this job.

As I mentioned in my original posting I am changing the set up to Auto Purge and checking the up to previous runs to 20 but it does not stick with the job. when I open next time it goes back to Immediate purge.
