Hi Kumar,

I take my statement back  . I agree with you that you cannot pass the columns in the aggregator without applying some kind of aggregate function. I was thinking about something else in my mind, when I answered your post. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi Vinay,

I dont think I have ever got that error. Like you said in an other post, you seem to have a license issue, which would explain this error too.

Hi NaveenD,

I don't think there is any direct way to do that, as Datastage processes only one row at a time.

Hi NaveenD,

I have used a similar technique in a lot of jobs. It should work for you too. Try to use the Debugger and monitor the values of OLTRAN and NEWTRAN. That will give you an idea of why its not working.

Hi Phani, As far as I know, there is no plugin for PX that will let you directly access VSAM files residing on mainframe. However, there might be some mechanism to directly read from mainframe in DS390. In PX, You need to first ftp the VSAM file from the mainframe to the UNIX box and then convert it...

Hi Fernando, You can use a simple server job, But your actual job design depends on 1) How are you getting the data from mainframe?. 2) Is it through directly reading DB2 tables? 3) Are you being provided the mainframe data in a flat file or mainframe dataset?
