Using functions
Hi, When I tried using standard string functions in DS, some of them seems to work, but some don't. For eg. Alpha("hai") - works AlNum("hai") - compile error with message: Compiling: Source = 'DSU_BP/DSU.test2', Object = 'DSU_BP.O/DSU.test2' Array 'AlNum' never dimensioned. 1 Err...

Explore a hash file in a sequential mode
Hi forumers. I need to read a hash file, following the key and in a sequential order. I mean, I have to read the entire hash file, and I don't know the keys, but I know the structure of the file. How can I do this ? Thanks in advance. Guillermo P. Barsky - gbarsky@osde.com.ar Gerencia de Sistemas - ...

Relative Performance for win2000/solaris 9
Hi David, yes, it's been years now!!! Hope you are doing fine. Yes. We are in the early phases of moving what we have developed on win2000 across to the 12K. (Which meant we could delay that purchase for 8 months.) The job I quoted is very simple with no opportunity for anything to 'go faster' but t...

Look for DSCMDIMPORT.EXE and DSCMDEXPORT.EXE where your client is installed. As at version 5.2, it will only export an entire project. Maybe this has improved in later versions. -----Original Message----- From: datastage-users-bounces@oliver.com [mailto:datastage-users-bounces@oliver.com]On Behalf O...
