I did try ls -1 and got an output like

.......that was fine but the delimiter '\n' is not being recognised. Is the representation of this carriage return right or is there any other way.

Hi, In a loop stage I use the list loop option for which I get values by issuing a ls -m command which retrieves a list of files with a comma and SPACE between each file. It also has a New Line character added to it at the end of the fourth file in the list. File1, File2, File3, File4, File5, File6,...

Iam quite sure that there is no intervention by any individual.
Again these jobs run perfectly after they are compiled and re-run.
Anyway, we have the Ascential team coming down to solve this problem and I shall come back with what they had said.
