I have a ODBC stage look up and I go inside the Trasformer Stage and right click on the look up link. I donot have the option for Link Properties! Is it not the way in 6.0.1 !

I guess it is not available in 6.0.1, will try it in 7.5. In 6.0.1 I dont even get "Link Properties" when I right click on the link!.

So what is the new name for the Ascential DataStage Enterprise Edition (with Parallel Extender) and are the training services given by Ascential be discontinued or changed in any way to suit the new products?.

Hi,
I had a similar issue with a cloumn in the source data which had "," in the description field and it was throwing all the consecutive records into other columns. I used trim(Change(ToXfm.MACHINE_DESC,","," ")) and it worked.

Yes, I agre we need to look up all the keys, but I am in this situation. By the way can you throw some light on multi row look up and how it is done.

Missing Column in Hash File

ColA ColB ColC ==== ==== ==== Ter 1 SPU Ter 2 SPU Ter 1 OCI AUS 1 ORA I have 3 columns in my hash file, only ColB and Column C make a key if combined. The issue is I have ColB in my source file but not Col C . Is there a workaround for this look up. Thanks

It is job parameter in the BW Load plug-in stage. Its says "Invalid ID and PWD"

yes Ray, in the parameters tab I mentioned the ID and password as ParamID and ParamPWD. Inside the plug in stage I gave them as #ParamID# and #ParamPWD#.

My thing is , is it possible in the first place!

ID & PWD as parameters for BW Plug in Stage

Hi,
As our jobs would be outsourced for production support, we need to secure the IDS and PWDs for the BW plug in stage (Extract & Load). Is there a way to pass the id and pasasword as parameters. i ddi try but the job failed.

If I use EReplace(YourString, '"','') Or Trim(YourString, '"', 'A') am I replaceing double quotes (") or blanks?

Invalid Quotes

Hi,
I am writing into a sequential file and I get this error after 196054 records!.

" invalid quotes, row 196054 column ZLGSERNO = "MCEEO811400830"" the field ZLGSERNO is SQL type Char, 25 length and Nullable.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi , I am using the merge stage with Compelte Set option, it works fine but a issue, like I have 2 columns in file1 and 2 columns in file2.
