Unable to decide which NLS should be used where??

Hi All, I have a DS job whose output goes as input to QS job... DS Job: OCI---->TX----->Sequential File(Fix length) My Oracle table contains special german and scandnavian characters...If i do a select sql i am able to see them in Oracle which I think rules out that Oracle is not compliant...My NLS ...

Hi, In my database table umlaut is entered and displyaed correctly....Its just that when I try to store the data into a CSV file...it is not dislpyaed correctly...do i have to do something in the job...but if i manually save the target file as UTF8 instead of ANSI, I am able to see it correctly in D...

Hi,
I am not getting an ODBC error...but I dont see umlaut in my output csv file...it appears as "?"...Please suggest me as to how do i see umlaut in my output file...

Hi,
I have a similar problem....Can you please suggest me how to output data into UTF-8 format....I want a csv file as output which should be in UTF8 format and not in ANSI....How to ensure this in DS job.

Thanks a lot everyone....I was able to resolve the issue using Geomatch as Ray suggested...In future ,i will definitely keep in mind to provide the exact scenario of the issue so that i get a more precise solution..

Yes also if the performance is hampering, can I get a solution using DataStage...How do we design such a job without considering performance aspects...
