Ardn, Thanks for the right direction. I looked in to the option tab that creats the hash file and noticed that the "delete file before create" has been creating this problem. Unchecking this option("delete file before create") resolved the issue. Once again thanks for putting me ...

Arnd, Thanks for the response!!! I've actually compiled the job couple of times, but the problem reccurs again. Also this will be an issue in production as the job has "reset if required and run" property from the sequencer and we won't have a chance to re-compile it in production as it is...

Cannot view the stages from one of the projects

We get the following error message trying to open the jobs from one the projects. All the jobs in other projects open fine. (on the same server)
Noticed that we can't view any stages from this project.

"The view of the job will be incomplete until the missing stage is restored."

I reckon with "ArndW", the Seq/Hash file on the unix box might have been created/ftp by a user other than the user who's executing the job. Chk if the user who created this file set's Read permissions and make sure the user who execute's belongs to the group who creates the files and vica ...

Madhav, Why don't you enable "Allow Multiple Instance" option from the respective job properties and run the job with different extension each time, that way you don't have to use sleep or wait. Example: $DSJOB -run -param fname=CRGBNXTRCT06_01.txt -mode NORMAL $PROJECT_NAME $JOB_NAME.Inst...

Re: "*DataStage*DSR_LOADSTRING": [EACCES] Permissi

What Database is it? Can you view the data from the stage?
I don't have a lot of details but based on the info it looks like someone from the database has changed the privileges for the user.
Chk with the DBA of the respective database.
