belated response.... The First problem you've mentioned of not being able to fire up the WAS after a reboot could be linked to your metadata respository not being active. If you are using Oracle as the XMETA repository for example, you need to ensure that it's mounted and the listener is running. Ch...

Belated response....

This could be related to available swap space on the server, specifically in the Job's Project directory. Check for any recent files (core, debug)consuming a lot of disk space. Try getting rid of those and recompile. It Worked for me.

We are using the Oracle Enterprise Stage. No Connectors involved.
It has a default size limit on the Multiline editor of 32/64K. This was remedied by applying a patch provided by IBM.

I don't know what the Patch number is at this point I'm told the patch supplied was a cumulative fix and not specific to this problem. Upon deployment, this problem went away along with a couple of other issues being dealt with by the WAS team. I will supply further information as and when i receive...

This was an issue that IBM engineers were able to reproduce within their own labs for an IIS 8.1 Linux deployment (Windows worked ok).

A patch was provided that fixed the issue.

Hi Ray
Point taken, The more we delve into the nitty gritty of the uvconfig, the more reluctant we are to meddle with it. We are in touch with IBM Support regarding this.

The libodbc library file needed to be brought under the purview of the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable.

Would have shared that information earlier but needed to unit test to ensure it works across the board. It does.

I was going to do something similar actually to see if it helps the performance. All of our users are experiencing performance issues, irrespective of their proximity to the Server and the number of concurrent users on the system. I found this link http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&...

Thanks for that Craig, Appreciate it I have no evidence to claim this has anything to do with RHL or VMWare, if anything, we have surplus firepower on the Server itself. We've also had IBM cast aspersions on the OS but they've found nothing upon investigation and have gone away satisfied with it. Fo...

I'm not sure if 32 bit Linux installations have the same teething problems as our 64 bit installation does but it ain't pretty i can tell you that, especially having spent the moolah to get your hands on a product that should be a cut above the rest. Craig, I missed almost all of your post due to yo...

IS8.1 --> Linux 64 Bit - Performance issues

Hello All I've had a quick look at the forums to pick up on something related but couldn't find anything specific, so here goes..... We are having horrendous performance issues with an IS8.1 deployment on Red Hat Linux 5.x (64 bit) and by that i mean, the simple tasks of logging in, opening and comp...

try ps -ef | grep agent

that should show up two processes, loggingAgent and AgentImpl, you should then be able to use the Process ID's to Kill them

Let us know if that works

I've resolved this issue.

The inclusion of the DSN in the header of the .odbc.ini file is not required (IMHO). I reckon you can safely preclude that from your notes.

My issue pertained to a specific library file that was missing.

Thank you all for your sincere attempts to crack this one.

I didn't think that was required but i've tried your suggestion anyways and it has not worked.

Any other checks and balances that i may have missed?
