Hi Guys Thanks for the comments. We did end up using the ODBC stage to load Netezza tables (for Server license). Don't understand why IBM cannot make the stage available when you could access it anyway via OBDC but from IBM's perspective, it's a nice little revenue earner for nothing extra really. C...

Does this mean it is still possible to import the server routines from the "serverside" in 8.1? If so, How?

Thanks

Hi Chaps On the Information Server Web Console, the Directory Configuration link displays both the Information Server directory and the Websphere User registry. Problem i have is that the Information Server directory is set as being the active provider (tick symbol by default) and there is no option...

Hi Craig Thanks for the reply. There is no option for the Netezza stage as such that crops up during the installation (or for that matter any other optional plugin). Is there some way to check if this is indeed an option and activate the stage, perhaps via the config file. The default installation o...

Netezza Stage in Server Edition Jobs

Hi Guys, Can the Netezza write stage only be used in Enterprise Edition jobs (parallel)? Is there some way it can be used in server edition (server) jobs? (Trying to avoid paying for the EE upgrade if possible) In the server edition, the Netezza stage is read-only and i cannot see the advanced tab i...

Aaikat, Browse through the articles posted in the QS forum and you will find what you are looking for, in short, however, the QS server cd should contain a Zip file that contains the QS Plugin for DataStage, you need to unzip and install to appropriate DS projects on the Server. You should then be a...

Hello,
It should be possible to do that provided you set up the FTP stage properties appropriately. We FTP files from a VMS box into Unix(Solaris) on a daily basis and all we had to do was fill in the blanks literally within the properties tab(s) of the FTP Stage.

Hope this Helps

Hi there,
dsjob is the command you need to use. It can be used after invoking the UniVerse from within ur Unix shell. Look up the Dstage Docs, you should have all the info you need OR run a search on this site. It's usage has been documented in detail i'm sure.

Hope this helps.

Hello, We've got a Sequence job that runs continually and is in effect controlled by a Routine (Transform Function) that determines the time for it to stop. The routine enables the Job to be run within a Time loop and it has the pre defined End time passed on as a Parameter. As Craig suggests, Set o...
