I have gone through the .odbc.ini and uvodbc.config files several times precisely looking for any hidden characters, i shall look again....

Same Result, Identical Error Message I'm afraid.

I did already run the ./bin/dssh (DS_CONNECT) script and end up with the same identical error message.

I've mentioned that (DS_CONNECT) on the subject, albeit not in necessary detail perhaps.

Obviously i am not aware of the correct terminology!

This was a user related issue. The ASB Agent had been started using a different user and stopped using another. The Stop didn't really work so needed to be killed and restarted by the original user/owner.
Not sure if this was the same reason for Manuel's problem though.

Thanks for the update, I've since been informed that the patch pertains only to PDF files and hence is irrelevant to the problem at hand (HTML docs). I will try a couple of other things and update the post if successful.

Does the patch JR31951 need to be downloaded and installed on the DS Clients and DS Server. Is it true of Linux Server installations as well?
