Thanks Ray, Changing hard coded paths sounds good. so by default when we move jobs to Unix , sequential files do not use unix style line termination. Line termination needs to be changed manually from windows to unix. Is edit export file search and replace line terminator the only option??? example ...

pimmit22043, Do you really need to use custom insert? As Ray suggested you could acheive sequence numbers using a @OUTROWNUM or you can even use Keymanagement functions. OR Else if this scenario is only to this job and you really need to use oracle sequence DT_SEQ only then why not create a trigger ...

if anyone in your team has admin rights , go to the logs directory on the box and try deleting the file manually.May be it does not allow to delete the file because the job is still running.
