Importing Progress table definitions
When we import Progress Database table definitions into DS through ODBC the length of some fields is changing. Length of intger fields is getting doubled...can any one explain why it is happening so....

Calling a Java Program from DataStage
Is there any Stage in DS to call a java progarm and pass values to the java progarm and get the output into a sequential file.

Our DataStage version is 7.5.1. So don't know whether there are still bugs related to encrypted parameters. Since there is no option to suppress any particular type of message for Sequence from being displayed in the Director log, I exported the Sequence and I removed the lines containing functions ...

Exec Command in job sequence
I have run a shell script (which echos a variable) using Exec Command in job sequence.In the logs it is showing that scrip has executed sucessfully.But I couldn't find the output in unix.Where shell I look for the out put.

Initially we had system privilage issue, but we over come by giving rights to that directory. And did clean reinstallation. When i went through the log, i found something intereisting to our case.
