I have data coming from a flat file and moving into SAP Load pack. I get a error :

Gro..Transformer_1: At row 843, link "DSLink4"
Data element exceeds specified column width (15): MFMU0503MM0183

I think some extra charecter is present. This is the last coloumn in the file.

I think the better way is to write a shell script to FTP the file from source server to the DS server, use that shell as Before job shell. Then schedule the job. You will get the file when ever you run the job.

Have you imported the meta data with out any problem using the same DNS,user name and pwd? If so as suggested, check you tns.ora file....
