Are you using any hash files that exist on server 1 but not on server 2? How about a table definition?
Just a thought...

First, this is a really great and (for me) timley thread - thanks to everyone who has chimed in and provided great information. Second, what are the down-sides to interprocess row buffering? Why would you not want it turned on at a project level? I understand the concept of what this is doing, I'm j...

We use Version Control for promotion to QA and Prod. We also use Named Batches in this process. However, we only use named batches when it makes sense to do so. For example: We set up a named batch which includes all jobs necessary for a phased release of ETL. Once we have this named batch set up if...

Moving Version Control project
Hello all,
Anyone have any ideas on how to properly move a version control project to a different server? We are moving our entire dev environment to a new server and need to move all DataStage projects (including Version control) to this new box.
Anyhelp would be great.
Thanks!
Aaron

DS Permissions...
All, I'm having issues setting permissions for my different users. It seems, no mater what I do, anyone has access to datastage jobs. I have set up the three NT groups as described in the admin guide, assigned the correct users to those groups and assigned the correct roles to the groups in Administ...

Please help me clearify...
All, Does the selection of 'Clear the table and Insert rows' in the ODBC stage send a Truncate statement to the DB or does it do somekind of Delete logic. I am working with my DBA to get appropriate rights for the user we will be using to run our jobs and this will make a difference. We run SQL Serv...

ODBC Stage and Stored Procs
Can someone please help me with this? I am being told by Ascential support that calling a Stored Proc (SQLServer 2000) through an ODBC stage and returning data to a sequential file is NOT SUPPORTED. Can this possibly be true? Support told me that the only way Stored Procs are supported is if you are...
