while updating why donot you compare the lookup and I/p columns
and the current Indicator=' Y' and If ur getting the same columns it will not update anything.If any columns changes then it will get updated
with the end_date and Ind="N"

I donot know whether I am on the same page.

I have changed the sqltype to varchar and used the function in the col derivation Decimaltostring

May be your sql is not the same as the columns ur fetching,it should be in the same order in the create DDL script.
So try to delete the columns and import the table defination and view the data.
