How do I generate a Sequence in Server? that I could write into a column.

The goofy part about 801's "ODBC Connectivity Guide" is it lists all
stages -
1. ODBC Connector
2. ODBC Enterprise
3. ODBC stage.
It no where mentions about which stage can be used in what engine.

I need to connect to a SQL Server dB on a remote server in DS 801. The ODBC connections have been setup and configured but have not been tested in DS Designer canvas yet. To test these ODBC data connections. I need to know which stage to use. Do I ODBC connector stage OR ODBC Enterprise stage? Thanks!

I need to configure SQL Server 2005 hosted on a different server to DS 801. I have already checked earlier posts and it seems we could connect to SQl Server 05 through ODBC stage in DS. In addition I have also checked Datadirect connections supported drivers and yes! I see SQL Server 2005 listed. So...

The issue was a quota nolimit command on Oracle met rep.
Now, with no quota limit we should have less freezes.

I'm thinking about writing a script which will check for datastage services and the metadata rep services if up or down. Anytime, the DS service is down or met rep service is down the script will email notifiers.
What services would I need to check?

It should be set to a functional c++ compler.
